Living in East Los Angeles and working as a hairstylist and makeup artist in Hollywood since 2002, Chevonne Ariss had a full and exciting fashion, editorial, and commercial freelance career that lent itself to world travel and exploration. When she wasn't on set, she was working at a high profile salon, Goodform of Hollywood, with a client base of A-list celebrities and industry heavyweights. In 2015 she embarked on her greatest, most fulfilling and proudest journey of all, motherhood.
Soon after, during Chevonne’s maternity leave, the craft of stained glass artistry was passed on to Chevonne by her mother-in-law, Claudia Ariss. After spending a weekend in Claudia's glass studio in Nipomo, California, Chevonne had the passion and interest to take up stained glass classes closer to home in Los Angeles.

After a year of studying under the guidance of Claudia and her LA teachers,  she was ready to start the venture of showing and selling her pieces in gallery shows, online, and at a handful of high end retail stores throughout Southern California. Firstly, a series called "Jupiter's Moons" aptly named for the 65 moons orbiting Jupiter. Followed by her secondary series of 53 pieces, “Moons of Saturn.”

After a move with her family to the Pacific Northwest, the next chapter for Chevonne in her stained glass journey was focused on teaching workshops out of her Portland, OR glass studio.

Chevonne also added the title podcast host to her glass journey with her popular show “Cracked with Chevonne Ariss”. On this weekly episodic series Chevonne takes a deep dive with today’s biggest names from around the world in modern stained glass.  Artists have a frank and honest conversation with Chevonne about their style, legacy, their losses and wins, their journey into becoming a small business owner and how they didn’t lose their minds getting there.
