THE SGAA EXISTS BECAUSE ARCHITECTURAL CRAFT MATTERS.
We are the national trade association for the American stained glass field: artists, studios, educators, suppliers, and the institutions that care for historic glass. Our work spans accreditation and professional standards, advocacy to preservation and architecture communities, workforce development, and public education.
The field is facing real challenges: a workforce pipeline that needs rebuilding, historic windows that need qualified stewards, and knowledge that needs to be shared in ways that get to people where they are. The SGAA is where those conversations happen, and where the people committed to solving those problems find each other.
Over 600 members. Four membership tiers. Programming in cities across the country. A quarterly publication. A Foundation focused on the next generation. This is an association in motion.

STAINED GLASS QUARTERLY
For more than a century, the Stained Glass Quarterly has been the documentary record of this field. Every issue covers the history, the craft, the people, and the projects that define American stained glass — published four times a year and read by professionals, collectors, and institutions across North America and beyond.
SGQ is one of the SGAA's most visible education and advocacy tools. It is where emerging artists find their first national audience, where studios document significant projects for the record, and where the broader field stays connected to what is happening in studios, conservation labs, and collections across the country.
