The Stained Glass Quarterly introduced a new magazine department in the Spring 2006 issue, and you are invited to be a part of it. The “FYI: Stained Glass Gallery” consists of photographs of recently completed architectural stained glass work with a brief description.

To have your work considered, please send publication-quality photographs — transparencies and digital on CD-ROM will both be accepted — of the installation and the studio name, designer, location and size of the installation to:

FYI: Stained Glass Gallery
The Stained Glass Quarterly
10009 East 62nd Street
Raytown, MO 64133

This new department is open to both new architectural stained glass work and recently-completed restoration work on architectural stained glass windows. To be included work must have been completed within the last three years.

Request/Suggestion for Photography

There are a limited number of SGAA photographers available to photograph stained glass installations on a time-available basis for publication in The Stained Glass Quarterly. You can suggest an installation for coverage by using the form below. Photography trips are scheduled by the editor of The Stained Glass Quarterly; requesting that a site be photographed does not guarantee that it can be covered.

Further Information

  1. There is no charge for including a site in a scheduled photography trip. Photographs taken become part of the photo archive of the Stained Glass Association of America. Publication-quality scans on CD-ROM of photographs taken can be provided at a small charge per image.
  2. The more information that can be provided in the form above, the more likely it is that the site can be included in a photography trip.
  3. Members of the Stained Glass Association of America are given first consideration for scheduling.
  4. Photography trips are scheduled a year in advance. If the installation you are recommending for coverage is located in or near an area that is scheduled to be visited, it can be included if time and scheduling allow. Future trips are planned based on suggestions for coverage received from this form and via e-mail to sgmagaz@kcnet.com.
  5. If you are not the person likely to answer the phone and/or e-mail at the location where the windows are installed, it is suggested that you contact the person who does that to tell them to expect a call or e-mail.
  6. Any questions can be e-mailed to Richard Gross at sgmagaz@kcnet.com.
